Dropkick Murphys had not performed on last year's St. Patrick's Day 2023 weekend for the 2nd time in 24 years span of time (Almost more than two decades). This is all because of the novel coronavirus pandemic. Instead of gathering/focusing on the concert live audience, this Massachusetts punk band plans to Livestream a concert for Boston this time through the online ways. They called this event named as "Streaming Up From Boston" -- and the entire world can enjoy their show by watching it live online telecast or offline. Dropkick Murphys will offer a free live stream broadcast of their St. Patrick's Day concert in Boston that was forced online due to the coronavirus COVID-19 pandemic.

According to their Official website post,

"For the first time in 24 years, we are not playing on St. Patrick's Day weekend. The current world situation is the ONLY thing that would ever stop us from doing so," the band announced on its website Saturday night.

It's really bad to see that Massachusetts has more than 160 cases of CoronaVirus till the content posted. So, Boston Mayor Marty Walsh on Sunday declared a public health emergency as the city deals with the spread of the coronavirus. .

The annual Dropkick Murphys concert is among many public events in the United States that have been canceled, postponed or streamed instead to comply with CDC guidance.

Boston has already been canceled its St. Patrick's Day parade 2023 too.
